HMCMB Sessions :: Sessions September

Today finally sees the launch of “Sessions September” and as such the fruition of a project we’ve been working on for a little while now. Over the past couple of months we’ve been recording acoustic sessions (HMCMB Sessions) with a variety of bands across different locales.

We began this as novices but through hard work, on our behalf and that of the bands we have been working with, and admittedly a steep learning curve, we’ve produced videos that we are (clichéd as it is) genuinely proud of, and we hope that you enjoy them as much as we do. We’ve really sought to show some flair and originality with the videos as well as promote the work of some independent acts that we feel deserve more exposure than they currently receive. Hopefully the use of impromptu and diverse locations has resulted in that truly immersive and exciting musical experience that we’re all looking for.

“Sessions September” begins today with the superb Bastille and their track Icarus, the video can be seen on YouTube, the link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVgeTLWcpxs

Every weekday for the rest of the month we will release another HMCMB Session via our YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/heymancheckmyband) , with band summaries here as and when appropriate. If you’d like to be notified of each video release then the best solution is to subscribe to our YouTube channel, either by clicking subscribe on one of the videos or on the channel itself. That way whenever a new video is released you’ll be the first to know, and lets face it, everyone likes being the first to know!

Hopefully the prospect of a video a day well help to take the edge off those post-summer blues. Especially when you’ve the promise of names such as Vintage Trouble and locations as diverse as the Southbank Beach Huts and the Sussex Downs to come.  We’d love to hear what you think, be it via email (heymancheckmyband@gmail.com) comments here or comments on the YouTube videos themselves, don’t be a stranger!
